Direct Thermo
This is a heat sensitive label material that turns black through a chemical reaction, enabling high quality printing. The label can become discoloured from light and heat. Thermo labels are not proofed against damp and chemicals.
Thermo Transfer
Thermo transfer labels use ribbons to transfer print. The ribbon moves between the printer head and the label. Thermo transfer labels can be made of different types of materials such as paper, polyester, polythene or aluminium. These labels can be proofed against effects such as sunlight, damp, chemicals, mechanical wear, heat and wind. You can use different materials and different ribbons to achieve different results.
