A structured Customer Success approach used operational data and innovative methodologies to identify improvement areas, allowing Ahlsell to increase efficiency, release warehouse capacity, and meet growth demands without hiring more staff or buying additional trucks.
Ahlsell was facing increasing capacity constraints at one of its warehouse sites. Continued growth meant that available warehouse space was becoming a limiting factor, while service levels still had to be maintained. The starting point was not to expand the operation, but to find ways to use the existing warehouse more efficiently. It was about to handle growth without hiring additional staff or investing in more trucks. Instead, Ahlsell wanted to improve efficiency by making better use of the tools and system capabilities already in place.
Together with Consafe Logistics, Ahlsell entered a joint, data-driven improvement initiative utilizing our new Customer Success methodologies. By analyzing operational data from Astro WMS® and carefully assessing Ahlsell’s existing growth possibilities, the teams identified exactly where efficiency could be improved and where warehouse space and flow were being used sub-optimally.
