Companies will continue to face multiple challenges in 2023, with high inflation, uncertain energy prices, pressing sustainability targets, and an economic slowdown. So, what is ahead for the supply chain industry? How will market dynamics affect warehouse management? And how can we turn challenges into opportunities?  

During CONNECT, our global customer event on 19-20 April 2023, we will take a closer look at 4 key trends shaping the warehouse of tomorrow. We will find answers to questions such as:

Keynote speaker Magnus Lindkvist is a rock-star trendspotter and futurist. He challenges audiences to pose new questions, shake things up and change their thinking. His talks are fast-paced and packed with useful information and tools to help you and your organization focus on and prepare for the unexpected. Magnus holds a degree in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and has combined numeracy with film studies at UCLA and journalism studies at JMK. He is a member of the Long Now Foundation, a Californian organization that promotes long-term thinking. Magnus has spoken for TED on numerous occasions on the Main Stage in the US and the many TEDx seminars organized worldwide.

Peter joined Asker in 2018 as their Global VP Supply Chain focusing his passion on operational excellence and strategic development, after 3 years of transforming their supply chain Peter was promoted to BA Director North. Peter’s passion is people, operational excellence, sustainable solutions with a strong drive for value creation.

Chiara Giusivi is currently working in IKEA Italy as WMS Coordinator. Driven by a genuine passion in deeper understanding and handling processes and flows in an uncertain logistical environment is acting in this role since 2019. She is the point of contact between local and global organization, supporting new WMS initiatives and promoting different ways of working to improve warehouse efficiency. Helped by her Industrial and Management engineering background has started her IKEA journey in 2014 supporting the implementation of a new Order Management system. During the last year main focus has moved to an automation project related to one of our distribution centre.

Martina Stroppi is a Warehouse Management System Super User in one Ikea Italy distribution center. Driven by a strong interest in Logistics and Supply Chain, she joined IKEA company two and half years ago just after graduation in Management Engineering. She manages WMS system to secure efficient workflows in warehouse and data analysis to improve operations processes. Currently she is starting to support global activities about developments, new WMS modules and local projects always keeping an eye on productivity improvement.

Thomas Grüner is an experienced logistics professional with more than 11 years of experience at Rexel, a leading electrical equipment distributor. He began his career in management in the industry transportation sector before moving to intra logistics. During his time at Rexel, he started in logistics, where he was instrumental in building a new distribution center from the ground up. Later, he transitioned to the IT department to work on optimizing the warehouse and logistic flows. He created a WMS tactical board within 7 countries in Europe, bringing all departments together to improve company-wide performance. His experience and expertise in logistics and technology with a strong focus on digitalisation make him an invaluable asset for organizations looking to embrace automation and innovate combined with constant view on sustainability.

During his 22-years career, he has held many different roles - from production management to running the entire company, always working in big manufacturing companies. For 4 years at PORTA, where he went through a career from production director, through operational director to the position of a member of the board and vice president. Privately, a supporter of new technologies and gadgets, an amateur of mountain biking.

With 20+ years of experience in software development and leadership positions in larger software and technology companies, including Sony Ericsson and Sony Mobile, Maria Rang is the Managing Director of Sweden at Consafe Logistics. In 2016, Maria joined the company as a Division Manager focusing on her passion areas, strategic leadership and business development, and was promoted to managing director three years later. Maria is the moderator of CONNECT and will, among others, follow up each customer presentation with engaging face-to-face dialogue.

Claes joined Consafe Logistics in 2004. He became our automation expert in 2017 and was promoted to team lead in 2022. Claes is a passionate chess player - so much so that he is a Swedish Chess Federation board member.

In his current position, Nabil drives the go-to-market process for product releases and messaging while supporting sales enablement. He will be the moderator of our panel discussion at CONNECT about centralized and decentralized distribution models.
